I just got ref. of yor blog, from some postings on orkut. I became more sensitised after reading “પ્રિય પપ્પા … તમારા વગર….. “. I just want to say that We also have similar feelings, rather than more than any daughter have for her father. I am one of the victim who have lost father.

ભાઈ શ્રી દક્ષેસભાઈ, આપની કવિતાઓ વાંચવી અને સાંભળવી ખુબ જ ગમે છે. ઘણી વાર હું મારા પોતાના અભિપ્રાય પણ મોકલુ છું પણ તેની સંખ્યા વધારે હોવાથી મારે તે કેટલી છે તે જાણવું હોય તો કેવી રીતે જાણી શકાય એ શક્ય હોય તો જણાવવા વિનંતિ.

મને આ લિન્ક મળવાનો ખુબ જ આનંદ થયો. તમે ખરેખર ખુબ જ ભાગ્યશાળી છો, અને હા દક્ષેશભાઈએ સાચું જ કહ્યું, આપણા પ્રિયજનોના જીવતા જીવત જ એમની ઈચ્છા પુરી કરવી જોઈએ. એમના ગયા પછી જે કરીએ એ આપનું (પોતાનું) મન મનાવવા કરીએ, તો તમે તમારા ભાભી માટે જે કર્યુ એ ખરેખર આભાર લાયક છે.

One of my friend referred me to the website, really what a brilliant job you have done. I have a request too. I want to listen to all the songs from a Gujarat Film “ઘેર ઘેર માટીના ચુલા” if possible, if not please find just one song from that Movie. You are really representing Garvi Gujarat. A website by the Gujarati, for the Gujarati is admirable. I am on tourist visa to USA and a retired bank officer. Really enjoyed lots of treasure of yours in the MITIXA.
My permanent resident is in Baroda and activly assosited with ASMITA VIKAS KENDRA,TRALSA,NEAR NABIPUR,BHARUCh.Asmita vikas is a school for mentally challenged boys/girls. It’s a free residential school in a complex of 20 thousand feet. આપની આ વેબસાઇટ આજે પ્રથમ વાર જોઇ, મને ખુબ જ ગમી.
આજકાલ પ્રતિયોગિ પરીક્ષાઓમા ગુજરાતી સાહિત્યનુ એક ફરજિયાત પ્રશ્નપત્ર હોય છે જેનો અભ્યાસ ક્રમ મેટ્રિક લેવલનો હોય છે. પરંતુ વિદ્યાર્થિઓ ને આ પ્રશ્નપત્ર મા થોડી ઘણી તકલીફો રહેતી જ હોય છે. આથી જો આપ એ પ્રશ્નપત્રમા ઉપયોગી થઇ શકે તેવી સામગ્રી આપની સાઇટ પર મુકો તો વિદ્યાર્થી મિત્રો પણ તેનો લાભ લઇ શકે.

Mitixaben -you (and your team) have done very good job. First of all I am thankful for such a beautiful website. I had been searching for good Gujarati website like this for years but just found today accidentally. This is a very good website that I think everyone should know. Your website has got good links to other websites too.
I would like to request a song “મને દરિયો સમજીને પ્રેમ કરતી નહીં….”. I found this song clip on internet and I am looking for whole song.. It is sung by Rajiv vyas performing at Gandhi Smruti Bhavan at the Award function of Purushottam Upadhyay. I found this songclip on you tube and this is the link:

Also I would like to add one more thing. This website has most of the good songs that are already published as albums. But I know that there are so many other popular sugam songs that are not published as albums but are sung in programs.It would be nice if you can include some of those songs sung by wonderful artists not famous yet but still worth listening.

It has been wonderful experience to go thru this mother tongue singing encyclopedia.
I have some suggestions:
1. ગુજારે જે શિરે તારે જગતનો નાથ તે સહેજે
2. New generation mothers are not having good skill of હાલરડાં, so the fresh generation infants lack this type of musical motherhood. Please place some Halardaas.

Today i was informed by my friend that there is a website called http://www.mitixa.com on which we can get very good gujarati booklets. And I went on this site and realised that this really a very good site for we Gujaratis. I have found many of my favourite except King Bharathari’s Bhajan.

નમસ્તે,
હું આપની સાઈટનો નિયમત વાચક છું. રોજ કંઈ નવી પોસ્ટ આવી તે દિવસના ભાગે ગમે ત્યારે સમય નિકાળીને જોઈ લંઉ છું. આજે આપનો ફરમાઈશ વિભાગ જોતો હતો ત્યારે મને એક વાત સુઝી
મને વર્ષોથી એક ગીત સાંભળવાની ઈચ્છા છે જે કોઈના કોઈ કારણસર શક્ય બનતી નથી.
કદાચ એ ગીત તમારી પાસે હોય..
હું નાનો હતો ત્યારે એક ગીત આવતું હતું દુરદર્શન પર રોજ રમે છે આટા પાટા અમદાવાદ. મને બહુ જ ગીત ગમતું હતું પરંતુ તે ગીત મને પછી ક્યારેય સાંભળવા મળ્યું નથી. મે ઘણી જગ્યાએ ટ્રાય કરી જોયો ગીત મેળવવાનો પણ મળ્યું નથી. તો જો તમારી પાસે હોય તો અંહી પ્રસ્તુત કરવા વિનંતી

Dear Mitaxiben,
I thank you for your efforts keep our “Matru bhasha” alive. We, in Austin, TX., meet every two months and have an evening of Gujarati songs, bhajans, gazals, etc. We ONLY sing Gujarati songs.
Since Holi is coming soon, the theme for our next gathering is songs related Holi. Can you please put some songs related Holi with words and music on your site? This will help us find some songs and we will be able to sing them at our next gathering on March 6th.

I was reffered to this site by my very good friend, Ashwini Parmar. I think each and every person has the same problem like me, “I know what I want, buy I don’t know how to get it!” I am really big fan of GUJARATI LITERATURE. But, some elements like; lake of time, sources, and physical distence from Gujarat were not allowing me to get it. Now, I think I’ll be able to manage my emotions, that I have for my home land.

I was delighted to know your dedication to Gujarati Literature and working towards its stability, which is gone with the attituide of ENGLISH and its western culture. I have seen three months before and was so impressed I forwarded to my guest list out which few have started visiting site regularly, with motto of attachment to their motherland and mother toung.
One rightly said in one drama by Firoz bhagat “અહિંયા ગુજરાતી ભૂલાઈ રહ્યું છે અને અમેરિકામાં ચોપડી વેચાય છે, સાહિત્યની પરિષદ ભરાય છે. શું કમનસીબી છે આપણી કે ગુજરાતી આપણાથી દૂર થઈ રહી છે.” [Aiya gujrati bhulai rahyu che ane america ma chopdi vechay che. Sahitya nu parishad bharay che, shu kamnasibi aapni ke "gujarati" apani dur tahi rhi che.]

ઘણી જ સરસ વેબ સાઈટ બનાવી છે. ખૂબ ગમી. અભિનંદન.
તમારા અને તમારા મિત્રોના વિશાળ સંગ્રહમાં ક્યાંય ૧૯૫૦ના દાયકામાં શ્રી હેમુ ગઢવીના કંઠે ગવાયેલ ‘વહુએ વગોવ્યાં મોટા ખોરડાં રે લોલ’ લોકગીત છે ? આકાશવાણી, રાજકોટ કેન્દ્ર પર હેમુભાઈનું જીવંત પ્રસારણ સાંભળ્યું હતું ત્યારથી એ હેમુભાઈના કંઠે ગવાયેલું ગીત ફરી સાંભળવા મળ્યું નથી. કોઈની પાસે તો રેકોર્ડિંગ કે કેસેટ હશે.

આજે જ આપની આ સાઇટ સાઇટમાં આવી. આવી સુંદર રચનાથી અજાણ હોવું ગુનાહીત લાગણી અનુભવાય છે. સુંદર રચના. શું આપ મનહર ભાઇની ગાયેલી કૈલાસ પંડીતની રચના ‘કોઇની બેવફાઇ શાયરી ની શાન થઇ જાશે’ અને ‘જરા આંખ મીંચુ તો છો તમે’ સંભળાવી શકશો

Am really very happy to go through these site.It was being introduced to me by my brother in law Jay Thaker.
I practically go through these site to listen a couple of songs that i preferred to listen from so many years.And well i d like you to add the Kalapi’s” Tari aankhan no afini”.

Congratulations for such an excellent job.
I came to know about this website from my friend Jay Thaker.
Actually I was very fond of Gujarati literature (particularly Ghazals) in my earlier life, like you.
But interest was vanished with increasing responsibilities of life. Again my interest has been rejuvenated through this website.
I am a medical doctor and working as Professor in a reputed medical college.

તમે આ બહુ ઉમદા કાર્ય હાથમાં લીધું છે, જે દૂનીયાભરના ગુજરાતીઓ માટે અતિ ઉપયોગી બની રહેવાનું છે. બહુ ઓછા લોકો મફતમાં મોઘો રાજભોગ ખવરાવે છે ! તેમાંના તમે એક છે. બહુ સરસ. keep it up.

i really glad to find this kind of sites. really extraordinary work.
i wish that u all will fulfill my request that i want some child songs in gujarati like “chakiben chakiben” “ek biladi jaad” and other child songs or poems for my nine month old son. thanks again. i am daily visiting this site and my son listen this songs and goes to sleep.

સૂચન માટે આભાર. તમારી વાત સો ટકા સાચી છે. આ થીમ જ ગાંજાપ્રેસનું છે, એટલે એમાં એનું પાન તો આવવાનું જ. તમારી જેમ જ બીજા મિત્રોએ પણ ટકોર તો કરેલી કે બદલી નાખવું જોઈએ. પણ પછી વિચાર આવ્યો કે જે રીતે ગાંજાના બંધાણીઓને એના વગર ન ચાલે એમ આ સાઈટ પણ સાહિત્યરસિકો માટે જ છે કે જેમને એના વગર ન ચાલે. તો વ્યસનની યાદ રહે તેમાં બહુ વાંધો નહીં.
મને મરીઝની પંક્તિઓ યાદ આવે છે …
જે એ કહે કે કોઈ ન વ્યસન હોવું જોઈએ
કેટલું અઘરું એનું જીવન હોવું જોઈએ !

નમસ્તે, આજે ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય વેબ-જગત આપની સુંદર વેબસાઇટ દ્વારા પરિપૂર્ણ થયું હોય એવું લાગે છે. ખરેખર આપનું આ કાર્ય ખુબજ સરાહનીય છે. બસ આ જ રીતે આપણી સંસ્કૃતિ અને સાહિત્યનો પ્રચાર થતો રહે એવી આશા.

જીવનની ક્ષણ્રભંગુરતાને તમે કેવી – પાનબાઈની – ઝડપ થી પામી ગયા! અમે તો ૬૧ વરસના થવા આવ્યા ને હજી વિચાર્યા કરીએ છીએ ! આજ થી જ ગાંઠ બાંધું છું. કંઈંક તો કરવાનું શરુ કરી દઉં છું. તેના માટે કોઈ ગમખ્વાર ઘટના ઘટવી આવશ્યક નથી, નથી અને નથી જ !
ભરુચ ને વતન બનાવ્યું છે, છેલ્લા ૩૦ વરસથી. તમે અહિંના છો. વાહ ક્યા બાત હૈ. ગર્વ અનુભવું છું. અમીબહેન તમારો ઋણી બન્યો છું. આજે પહેલી વખત ગુજરાતી કી બૉર્ડ વાપરતાં આજે શીખ્યો તેનો ખૂબ ખૂબ આનંદ છે. વારંવાર અહીં મળતા રહીશું.

ગુજરાતીમાં લખવા માટે શું કરવું તે તમે કોમેન્ટ લખતી વખતે show keyboard પર કલીક કરશો તો સમજાઈ જશે. અમુક અક્ષરો લખવા તમારે બે-ત્રણ કી વાપરવી પડશે અને કેપીટલ લેટરનો પણ ઉપયોગ કરવો પડશે. જેમ કે કિ લખવા ki , કી લખવા kI (અહીં I કેપિટલ છે) અને કં (અનુસ્વાર) લખવા kaM ( અહીં પાછો M કેપિટલમાં) ટાઈપ કરવું પડશે. જો તમારે તમારા કોમ્પ્યુટર પર ગુજરાતી install કરવું હોય તો અહીં જુઓ.

તમારી સાઈટ ખુબ જ સરસ છે, પરન્તુ પાકા ભોજનમાં મિઠાઇ ના હોય તેવુ લાગે છે. સાહિત્ય તો સરસ જ છે પણ તેમા કોઇ હાસ્યરસ નથી. You need to add some Jokes site.

If you need I can send lots of jokes in GUJARATI.
Only you have to upgrade your keyboard with proper consonant (વ્યન્જન્)
દીરઘાઇ લખી શકાતી નથી….. અનુસ્વાર (.) માથે મીન્દુ પડ્તુ નથી….વગેરે ચેક કરશો.
જોકસ તો હું મોકલી આપીશ but only because of writting trouble I can’t. If I am doing some mistake in understanding, how to write so pl. teach me by my e-mail address.

મારા મિત્ર દ્વારા આ સાઇટ ધ્યાનમાં આવી….ખુબ સુન્દર પ્રયત્ન છે.
I try to wrote in gujarati, but it is not pick-up some words. like T for Tomato, always ‘ત’ લખાય chhe. same for chhe it is pick-up ‘ચ્હે’… some of these things you should improve, otherwise it is exellent source of Gujarati Sahitya for the people who are living in abroad.

Hi !
Please find me a fun poem which I read 10 years ago in Gujarati newspaper and now I lost it’s cutting. The opening words were like :
Paranya ne pacchis varsh thaya, have shu thai ? and ending words were like : Chal apane banne thaki gaya, Ek cup chaha banav, apne banne adhadi adhadi piye.”
Its a very nice helerious and very long poem. Please find me out. I will really apperciate. Thanks.
